Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hello hello everyone! I know it's been a while and I keep saying that I'm back blah blah but this time, I'm not going to make any excuses or any promises on coming back however, I did promise you guys a review on the Tartelette palette and here we go!

So, if you guys watched my videos in the beginning of this year and follow me on Instagram (@HelloJessenia) you guys can probably guess by now what I think of the palette but we'll go a little more in depth today and see if I can convince you guys to believe what I believe.

So when I received the palette, it came in this gorgeous promotional box and of course by the looks of the beautiful box, you automatically expect it to be amazing right?

It came with the palette, a limited edition blush, a black liner and double ended brush (which we will discuss a little later). It also came with two separate eye looks, a description of the palette and why the concept behind the 2015 collection.

As I continued to pull out the products out of the box, I began to shake with excitement! I couldn't believe this beauty was mine and I had been blessed enough it in my presence. The packaging and presentation is absolutely stunning in person and on camera.

It got better once I opened it all.....

LOOK HOW GORGEOUS IT IS!!!!! AGAIN!

Okay lets get to the good stuff; so the cost of this palette is $45.00 U.S dollars and its an absolute dream for any makeup junkie and any beauty who is into matte eye shadows. It contains 12 matte shades that compliment many skin tones from warm to cool tones and young to oldest. Not to mention. this palette is definitely beginner friendly and also a must have in a professional makeup artist kit. Let's check out some swatches.... With no edit!

First Row L-R:
Free Spirit which is a gorgeous creamy yellow brightening shade
Force of Nature softer than your typical soft brown shade with a hint of pink and a little peach
Dreamer is more of a dusty wood color
Multi-Tasker a deeper hot chocolate color with a bit of red

Second Row:
Caregiver is a soft creamy pink that's very build-able
Natural beauty is a soft dusty mauve shade
Best-Friend is a mixture of mauve, lilac and plum
Bombshell a darker plum shade

Third Row:
Super-Mom which looks like free spirit but leans more on the pink side
Wanderer another soft brown shade but has a yellowish undertone
Power Player is a gorgeous taupe shade that looks more gray but a bit warmer
Fashionista is a true super pigment matte black eye shadow.

My thoughts:

Again, if you guys follow me on social media and seen some of my videos in the beginning of the year, you guys can guess it, I ABSOLUTELY looooooooooooove this palette! It is my go to palette and there is not a single day that goes by that I do not grab at least one color from it. It it such a universal item and it's definitely a MUST HAVE! I mean you can create an all matte eye look or use it with another palette you love, loose glitter or pigments. You have a mixture of both cool tones, warm tones, neutrals and a pop of color with the mauve/ purple shades. It is just the perfect everyday palette and if you're lucky enough to get your hands on it, I suggest you grab it as soon as you see it in store!

Review and Swatches: It Cosmetics "Naturally Pretty" Vol I Matte Luxe Transforming Eye Shadow Palette

Hello hello lovely ladies! I hope you're all safe and warm. This east coast weather in no joke! I really can't wait for Summer. SERIOUSLY! That's how bad it is. I don't even like Summer but this year I am sooooo looking forward to it.

Any who, today we are going to be talking about the Naturally Pretty Matte Luxe palette by It Cosmetics. This gorgeous looking palette is $42.00 US dollars and contains 14 "matte" shades and one "transforming" shade that not only are you able to use them dry but wet as well! The colors of the shadows range from warm tones as well as cool tones. They are very complimentary to one another so there is an eye look for all the beauties out there from fair to deep.

(First picture has a slight enhancement, the second picture has no enhancement.)

Not only are the eye shadows matte but they're also anti-aging! Yes! Anti-Aging! They're infused with Peptides, Anti-Oxidants, Hydrolyzed Collagen and Silk! The combination of these ingredients are great for hydrating and plumping up the skin and also leaving the eye area super silky and smooth (over time of course).

Here are some close up pictures and swatches of the palette:

 Left to Right:

Sheer Joy, Soft Light, Warmth, Soulful and Warmth

 Left to Right:

Violet, Midnight, Noir, Love and Sunrise

 Left to Right:

Sunset, All Heart, Java, Iconic and Transforming Pearl

MY THOUGHTS!

So clearly after looking at these photos, we can totally see a little bit of sheen. I, personally, do not consider these shadows to be 100% matte however, I do consider them to be more of a matte finish. They are very pigmented, buttery and easy to blend.
With that being said, I feel like they're a little too buttery to the point that as soon as I dip a brush into the pans, a bunch of fall out comes along and goes straight to waste. When applying them unto my eyes, I felt like I blended them away and it was very hard for the pigment to stay on my eyes.
However, I was using natural haired brushes! I would prefer to use synthetic brushes like the ones Hourglass carries or the It Cosmetics brushes they recently created.
I do think the color choices are beautifully made and well put together considering you can do an everyday look for the office, a subtle smokey eye or a dramatic look by simply adding some water to your brush to further intensify the shadows.

OVERALL!

I do like the palette, I just don't love it. I hope they're willing to take it into consideration to make it less powdery. I do recommend it for all skin tones and all ages. This palette is very universal and I think they hit is right on the head with creating a palette that can truly suit "everyone." I give this palette a 4 out of 5 because of how diverse it is and its easy to use. Anyone from early teens to extreme divas can totally reach for this and create a beautiful look as long as they have the proper prepping items and brushes.

XOXO

Welcome back Jessenia!

Hello Hello ladies and gentelmen! I am Jessenia your host for this blog and I would like to start off by saying I AM SO SORRY! I haven't been updating my blog for a while now and I would like to apologize for that in advanced. I have been focusing so much of my energy on my videos and my channel that I really forgot about my blog and I am truly sorry. I am trying to figure out a system where I can give attention to both my channel and my blog at the same. My honey had bought a seperate device so that as my videos are uploading, I could blog at the same time which is very convienient because at times (depending how long the length) my videos can take up to 12 hours to upload and that is just insane! Hopefully it'll all work into my favor...

I have a lot of exciting things to cover this year. I will blog more on eyeshadow palettes this year considering multiple companies are finally coming out with new eyeshadows and changing up their formulations and everything. Besides, it's a new year time for new things. Right? Seriously though, I have noticed that when I did take pictures of palettes and shadow swatches, you guys seem to eat it up so I'm going to keep that in mind. Also, as much as I love to create makeup tutorials on my channel, I was thinking to share a face of the day type of thing with pictures of the products I used. There are times I don't film every makeup look (which I wish I did because I feel super amazing on those days) and I still would like to share it...

I'm looking to reinvent my blog as well. Probably towards something more me not so "google" lol. I want my blog as well as my channel to come together as one. It only make sense. So if you guys can recommend a website creator that would be highly appreciated.

Okay guys I think thats enough blabbing for right now. Please stay tuned for what is to come! As always, thank you lots! I truly appreciate your love and your support. Take care and God bless you all...

XOXOXOXOXOXO

Bite Beauty Deconstructed Rose Limited Edition Collection Review and Swatches!

Hellooooooo loves! How are we today? I'm just great and of course even better because we get to talk about makeup! What else is better than that huh? Well let's begin. A couple of days ago, I uploaded a haul video on my cahnnel, www.youtube.com/hellobeautylove09 and I shared how I purchased the Deconstructed Rose limited edition collection from Bite Beauty and I promised you guys some swatches and I finally got the time to show you.

I have to start off with the fact that I absolutely love this collection! Unfortunately, if you checked out my last post, I wasn't too much of a fan of the lipgloss library but these lipsticks are eeeeeeverything to me honey!

Damask is such a beautiful bright vibrant pink shade. This lipstick will definitely compliment a ton of different skin tones! Again, the shade is called Damask and it's $24.00 at Sephora.

Centifolia is a gorgeous soft Peach shade but super pigmented. $24.00

Grandifolia has to be my absolute favorite out of the whole collection! It is a beautiful, intense Reddish Orangy-ish shade! I mean, LOOK AT IT! Clearly you need a lip liner with the lipstick but this shade will great on anyone who loves a bright bold lip! Again, Grandifolia $24.00

Crimson ($24.00) is a gorgeous Mulberry shade. It would look amazing on deeper skin tones! I believe this is a gorgeous fall shade.

As you can see, all of the lipsticks from the collection are absolutely stunning and theres a shade for everyone. I do think that the lipsticks are pricey but keep in mind, these lipsticks are technically so natural you can enjoy a stick for a snack if thats your kinda thing. Whelp that about sums this up. Let me know what are some of your favorite lipsticks from Bite Beauty as well! XOXO

Bite Beauty's Limited Edition Deconstructed Rose Lipgloss Library (Swatches + Review)

Sooooooo Bite Beauty came out with their limited editin Deconstructed Rose Lip Gloss Library and of course I had to pick it up because I am a HUGE Bite Beauty lover and I need everything from them!

You can recall from my most recent haul video, I announced that I purchased the set and I was extremely happy and excited for it. All of the glosses are infused with ingrdients from different Roses and they're also in shades of multiple roses as well. Which, lets face it, who doesn't enjoy a natural rosey flush to the lips on days you dont want to wear much makeup ahh? Aaahhh?

Anyways, the lipglosses are numbered from one through twelve and, let's just get to the swatches shall we?

Shade "ONE"

Shade "TWO"

Shade "THREE"

Shade "FOUR"

Shade "FIVE"

Shade "SIX"

Shade "SEVEN"

Shade "EIGHT"

Shade "NINE"

Shade "TEN"

Shade "Eleven"

Shade "Twelve"

My Opinion:

Okay so clearly if you watch my videos and follow me on social media you already know that I absolutely loooooove Bite Beauty with all me heart. I mean the lasting power on these lipglosses are absolutely amazing. They don't feel overly sticky where your hair and everything else flying in the wond is sticking to it but it's sticky enough that they lsst long for a gloss. The pigmentation is amazing for those who do not enjoy lipsticks and prefer lipglosses, these bad boys you would love. However, for $49.00 (U.S Dollars) I feel that the glosses could have been a little bigger or the whole case could have been a little cheaper. I understand the lipgloss set was limited edition and that Bite Beauty is Vegan and all kinds of natural but for how expensive this set was, I feel like it could've been just a tad bit better. I mean for girls who are just starting out with higher end products and like pinky/rosey shades than this set is for you as well as those who prefer natural brands you would love this considering you can technically eat the products.

Now, the smell. The smell of these glosses are yummy at first until you have them on for a while and instead of the scent of Roses it tends to smell like grass!!! Yes! GRASS!!! Now it wasn't with all of them in fact, I would hsave to say once you started to get to the darker tones, thats when the grass smell began to kick in. For $49.00 I feel like they could have made it a little more perfume like. Maybe mixed a little Chloe in there. Just saying. So if you're the kind of girl whos sensitive to smells, this set might not be for you.

End Results:

Pigmentation:
4/5

Scent:
2/5
(Unless you enjoy the scent of plants or grass.)

Price:
Considering it's a netural brand I give it a 3/5

Would I repurchase this set?:
Probably not unfortunately. I still love Bite though!

As always guys, thank you so much for stopping by and I'll talk to you all soon! XO
